Description

Preventive Maintenance, Tuning, Calibration, & Testing of four (4) dual fuel (gas/oil) boilers of different capacities located is the basement area of the Altmeyer Building. Three (3) of the existing boilers are rated at approximately 25,000 pounds per hour (pph) of steam generating capacity, with the remaining boiler rated at approximately 15,000 pph. All boilers supply steam to all buildings located within the Headquarters (HQ) facilities. The boilers supply all hot water, steam and domestic heating water to the HQ facilities, approximately eleven (11) buildings. Therefore, the performance and efficiency of the generation of steam is paramount for HQ operation. Each of the four boilers is fitted with a fully metered cross limited combustion control system with oxygen trim. Boiler No.4 is fitted with the addition of Flue Gas Recirculation (FGR) to reduce NOx emissions.
