Description | This project consists of constructing a new interchange from KY841 to Air Commerce Drive. This will include a new bridge over South Park Road and KY841 as well as the back retaining walls along KY841, new roadway lighting and new signage. Each sealed Bid shall be accompanied by an irrevocable Bank Letter of Credit, or satisfactory Bid Bond (see Attachment #8) with good corporate surety, in a sum not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate amount of the Bid, payable without condition to the Louisville Regional Airport Authority, to guarantee that if the Bidder's offer results in an Award, the Bidder will furnish all required bonds, insurance certificate(s) and insurance policy(ies) within ten Calendar Days after the date Notice of Award is given, and enter into the Contract within thirty (30) days after Notice of Award is given. The bidder/proposer shall make good faith efforts, as defined in Appendix A of 49 CFR Part 26, Regulations of the Office of the Secretary of Transportation, to subcontract 4.6 (4.6%) percent of the dollar value of the prime contract to small business concerns owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (DBE). Any questions from the prospective Bidders will be accepted in writing until noon, Friday, July 22, 2022. After this date no questions will be answered. These questions may be mailed to Brian Sinnwell. Questions submitted should be directed to Engineering@flylouisville.com. All questions must be put on the Bid Question Form (See Attachment #7). The Authority will encourage the successful Bidder to enter into, and will assist the successful Bidder in securing, a project agreement, or other agreement, to reduce the risk of work stoppages or other labor related delays during the term of the Project. The Authority will encourage the successful Bidder to employ local labor for all but supervisory personnel for the Project. |
