Description | Dupont Borough 143 Main St. Demolition & Site Restoration Project: Base Bid; Demolition of a two-story structure located at 143 Main St., Dupont, PA. All debris shall be removed from the site and disposed of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. The void area left by the demolition of the structure shall be backfilled and compacted with suitable material or stone to prevent settlement. Upon completion of backfill the area will be graded to prevent the ponding of water. Finally, the disturbed area shall be covered with topsoil, seed and mulch. The bid must be accompanied by a certified/cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, made payable to Dupont Borough. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof or to waive any informalities in the bidding. If written notice of the acceptance of this Bid is mailed or delivered to the undersigned within sixty (60) days after the opening thereof, or at any time thereafter before the Bid is withdrawn, the undersigned agrees to execute and deliver the Agreement in the form prescribed by the Dupont Borough. The Labor Standards, Wage Determination Decision and Anti-Kickback regulations (29CFR, Part 3) issued by the Secretary of Labor are included in the contract documents of this project and govern all work under the contracts. Non-discrimination in Employment--Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order 11246 and will be required to insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against on the basis of their race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability or familial status in employments or the provision of services In addition to EEO Executive Order 11246, Contractors must also establish a 6.9% goal for female participation and a 0.6% goal for minority participation in the aggregate on-site construction work force for contracts in excess of $10,000 as per the notice of requirement for affirmative action as contained in the contract documents. In compliance with Executive Order 11625 and 12138, the successful bidder must utilize to the greatest extent feasible, minority and/or women-owned businesses located in the municipality, county or general trade area.
