Virginia Tech - Corps Leadership and Military Science Building and New Upper Quad Residence Hall

Corps Leadership and Military Science Building: Two existing buildings, Femoyer Hall, and the Arts and Design Learning Center, have been identified for redevelopment to support this strategy. These buildings are adjacent to each other and directly across Old Turner Street from the University’s central power plant. Femoyer Hall will be razed and replaced with the 300-bed New Upper Quad Residence Hall (NUQRH), the Arts and Design Learning Center will be partially demolished and replaced with the approximately 75,500 gross square foot, three-story, Corps Leadership and Military Science Building (CLMS). New Upper Quad Residence Hall: This project’s site is at the southeast corner of Stanger Street and Old Turner Street where an existing facility, Femoyer Hall, is currently located. Femoyer Hall is an approximately 35,000 square foot facility constructed in 1949 and originally designed as a residence hall; it will be demolished as part of this project
