Description | USNH, representing University of New Hampshire (UNH) Facilities Project Management, is requesting bids for the Paul College 3rd Floor Terrace Roof Replacement. Deadline for written questions 07/21/2023 at 12:00 p.m. Award announcement Week of 08/07/2023 SCOPE OF WORK A. Provide labor and materials necessary to remove the designated existing materials and install the new specified roofing and related components for University of New Hampshire, Paul College, 3 rd floor terrace roof replacement. B. SUMMARY OF WORK 1. The work involves removing all designated roofing materials, flashings, insulation, concrete pavers, obsolete units and other related items. 2. The existing structural concrete roof deck will be inspected and repaired, as/if necessary, on a unit price basis (Base bid quantity with additional ADD/DEDUCT pricing). 3. The existing structural steel roof deck will be inspected and repaired, where required, on a unit price basis (Base bid quantity with additional ADD/DEDUCT pricing). 4. The existing plywood blocking will be inspected and, if necessary, replaced on a Unit Price basis (Base Bid quantity with additional ADD/DEDUCT pricing). 5. The existing roof drains will be inspected and, if necessary, replaced on a Unit Price basis (Base Bid quantity with additional ADD/DEDUCT pricing. 6. Preparation involves removal and legal disposal of: a. All existing concrete pavers b. All single-ply roof membrane, flashing, base flashings and accessories. c. All insulation d. All vapor barriers. e. All copper sheet metal parapet cap and flat seam copper roofing. f. All counter flashings and metal aprons designated for removal. g. All designated obsolete equipment. h. All other obsolete equipment as shown on the roof plans RP-101. i. All temporary electrical disconnects and reconnections as required to install proper flashings at each unit. j. All existing drains with inserts, cracked bowls or other damage, or deterioration. k. Any damaged slate and copper edge of steep slope roofs above work area. 7. As part of the preparation, walk the entire site and take pictures of all unsatisfactory conditions which include but are not limited to all items to be reused, or site conditions near areas where the work will be conducted. The process shall also be utilized for the onsite foreman to bring forth conditions they feel are not as designed or not capable of being completed. These pictures, with descriptions shall be provided to the Owner and Owner's Representative a minimum of 48 hours prior to the start of work. All items not shown will be considered the contractor's |
