Description

Resurfacing and improvements of approximately 15,000 linear feet of biking and pedestrian trails in the City of Greenwood. The City of Greenwood, Greenwood County and the Greenwood Parks and Trails Foundation are seeking ways to make the city more pedestrian and bicycle friendly. The owners are seeking to improve the trails usability and safety. Currently, the trials have a packed crush and run surface and have become overgrown with vegetation. Puddling and drainage are also an issue, especially at the West Cambridge Avenue and Calhoun Avenue overpasses. The owners are requesting three line item quotes for the scraping, re-surfacing, and re-grading for positive drainage (including cleaning out trail ditches and adding culverts) of the following three trail sections. The City of Greenwood and The Greenwood Parks and Trails Foundation are looking for the following scope of work: 1. Scraping. 2. re-grading for positive drainage. 3. cleaning out ditches. 4. compacting and re-surfacing with 2” of screenings. 5. Adding additional culverts and drainage improvements throughout the trail. system. Specifically in the areas of the West Cambridge and Calhoun Avenue overpasses.
