Small Business Reserve - Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a contractor to install concrete sidewalks and additions to current sidewalks at various locations at the Department of Juvenile Services, Backbone Mountain Youth Center, 124 Camp 4 Road, Swanton, MD 21562. This project consists of the Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, licenses and permits, etc. necessary to install concrete sidewalks and additions to current sidewalks at various locations at Backbone Mountain Youth Center. B. Work associated with the above listed project description includes but is not limited to the following: 1. The Contractor shall excavate and grade areas and fill with compacted material 4" thick. Frame and pour concrete 4" thick with 3,500 psi concrete with wire mesh reinforcement. Broom finish, expansion joints every 6'. Sidewalks to be flush with ground, backed up on edges with dirt then seed and mulch applied. All material used for forms to be removed and disposed of offsite once job is complete. 2. The Contractor shall supply all materials, supplies, and labor to have installation done properly. 3. All work will need done to Garrett County Code C. Areas to be Extended; 1. Front of School; 52ft Long x 3ft. Wide 2. Nurse Sidewalk 10ft Long X 2 ft. Wide 3. Basketball court 12ft Long X 3 ft. Wide D. Areas for New Concrete: 1. 2 sidewalks at Generator Building, both 6 Ft. wide, 1 is 29 ft. long, other is 23 feet. 2. Back of Administration Building. 17ft long X 7 ft. wide 3. Dorm Pathway 48 ft. long X 6 wide 4. Kitchen Furnace Room 32 ft. long X 6 ft. wide 5. New Incentive Building: 2 sidewalks, The Front sidewalk is 83 feet long X 6 ft. wide, The Back sidewalk is 40 Feet long X 6 ft. wide. E. Areas that needs old sidewalks removed and replaced with new sidewalk 1. GYM needs a 10 ft. X 10 ft. poured by the door, then 50ft. Long X 6 ft. Wide sidewalk 2. Case Managers 42 ft. Long X 4 ft.
