Sand Creek Sports Complex - City of Brentwood

This project is included in the City's Strategic Plan for FY 2022/23 - FY 2023/24. Sand Creek Sports Complex Phase I consists of the design and construction of the 14.50 acres of City owned property identified as the future Sand Creek Sports Complex. It is anticipated that the park will include up to 2-3 full size sports fields (soccer/ multi-use to be determined), parking lot, restrooms, picnic area and other possible park amenities like pickle ball courts, basketball courts, exercise equipment, playground etc. Phase II is made up of the Contra Costa County Flood Control detention basin, which consists of 19.24 acres, will potentially add 2-3 sports fields. The total project estimated cost is $15 million. The project is included in the City of Brentwood's FY 2022/23 - 2026/27 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Per the owner, staff is currently working on the RFP for this project. The owner states that they anticipate the RFP for planning, design construction to be put out for bid in August of 2022. As of August 10, 2022, an RFP has not yet been issued for this project. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
