N--Site Preparation for Laboratory Trailer

Introduction Prepare site and necessary utilities for locations of a modular laboratory and three temporary mobile laboratory trailers. Also transport and install existing modular laboratory from its offsite location to the Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center (UMESC). ii. SITE PREPARATION: 1. Remove and dispose of trees and excess soil at UMESC location. 2. Over excavate as necessary to import, place and compact 24” of engineered fill (gravel) for foundation at UMESC modular and trailer lab locations. To extend a minimum of 24” outside of the footing. 3. For modular building location, pour footings with (2) continuous rows of #5 rebar. 4. For modular building site, construct PHASE 1 of foundation walls (12” concrete masonry units (CMU)) per original production documents (including reinforcing, grout, insulation, waterproof coatings, etc. per plan). 5. Construct piers per original modular building production documents. 6. Provide/Install min. 2” gravel ballast on top of 8 mil vapor barrier in crawl space per plan. 7. After modular building is in place, construct PHASE 2 (4” CMU) of foundation wall per original production drawings 8. Backfill around foundation with onsite spoils and import black dirt as necessary to be within 3” of final grade.
