| Description | The boiler house is slated for eventual demolition by others, but the scope of this project is to abate regulated asbestos containing materials from the interior and exterior of the boiler house. The regulated ACMs include friable thermal insulating materials in the boiler walls and on piping and associated fittings and joints. An asbestos survey has been completed for this project. Abate Asbestos From 3 Boilers Remove all asbestos from the fire box (walls, floors, and tops), steam drum, mud drum, and any other component considered part of the boiler system. Abate Asbestos From Piping and Associated Fittings Remove all asbestos from all piping, elbows, valves, breeching, ductwork and any other fittings. Manage, transport, and dispose asbestos containing materials as a friable waste in a permitted landfill. Contractor to comply with all authorities having jurisdiction including but not limited to those of the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet. |
