Description | The Owner assumes no responsibility for bids mailed but not received. The project involves, but is not limited to: curb and sidewalk removal, and the construction of curb, sidewalk handrail, concrete stairs, roof drain connections and two concrete walls. The Contract Documents may be examined at the Township Engineer office of E. B. Walsh & Associates, Inc., 855 Springdale Drive, Suite 202, Exton, PA 19341. Telephone inquiries regarding the availability of documents for bidding may be made to the EngineeraEUR(TM)s office at (610) 903-0060. A Certified Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of West Pikeland Township in the amount equal to Ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid must be submitted with the proposal as Bid security. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Labor and Materials Payment Bond with an eighteen (18) month warranty within ten (10) days of the bid award, executed by a surety authorized to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, which must be paid to workmen employed on this project, are incorporated in the Contract Documents. Bidders are advised that they must comply with all State anti-kickback regulations pertaining to work associated with this project. West Pikeland Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to refuse any or all Bids submitted; and also reserves the right to waive any informality in Bids received, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder. Except as otherwise provided by law, no Bidder may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of opening thereof. |
