Description

Construction Engineering and Inspection Services for Project No. 0063-0726 Prequalification Category: Construction Engineering and Inspection (Road & Bridge) CSO Solicitation No. 2406 The Department is seeking to engage one (1) firm to perform the Construction Engineering and Inspection services for the following project: Project No. 0063-0726 - This Design-Build Project involves the rehabilitation of Bridge No. 01469B, an 1800' long viaduct structure comprised of steel and concrete piers supporting a superstructure comprised of steel beams and concrete deck overlaid with bituminous concrete. The Project scope will include, but not be limited to, design and construction of replacement of the concrete bridge deck and joints, roadway drainage investigation and replacement of the collection and discharge system, replacement of the roadway lighting system, superstructure strengthening to accommodate all legal and permit vehicle loads, steel coatings system, rehabilitation of the bearings, steel pier bents and bracing systems rehabilitation, substructure rehabilitations, and highway and traffic engineering, as well as load rating analysis, environmental permitting, railroad and utility coordination and accommodations, access provisions beneath the bridge for local stakeholders, and contractor quality control. This contract is scheduled to be advertised on September 7, 2022, with a scope code 'M'. $ 40,000,000 - $ 59,999,999 Firms responding to this request should be of adequate size and sufficiently staffed and experienced to perform this assignment and will be required to provide the necessary staffing upon execution of the contract. The selected firm will also be required to establish and/or maintain a Connecticut office for the duration of assignment. The Project Manager may be required to work in the Connecticut office and be available on a daily basis for supervision of the staff performing the assignments. The Department, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel this solicitation and terminate the process to retain consultant services, and is under no obligation to contract for the services specified herein. The Department, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to award subsequent phases of an assignment to other qualified firms.
