| Description | To assure prompt response of airport emergency vehicles, including Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Facility (ARFF) equipment, the Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) is undertaking a program to improve access to the airfield from the existing ARFF Facility. The program includes the construction of a 25-foot wide bituminous concrete roadway for ARFF vehicles. The scope of work includes necessary related site preparation elements included clearing/stripping of topsoil, pavement demolition, erosion protection, grading and embankment, lime rock base construction, bituminous concrete pavement construction, initial pavement marking, signage, and site restoration. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the project-specific construction safety and phasing plan. |
