Tompkins DH/RC - Strip and Wax Floor

Scope of work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1) Empty rooms/areas of furniture, equipment. in order to strip'wax entire accessible floor area of VCT tiles using contractor furniture moving 2) Strip old wax to get uniform color and appearance Of VCT using contractor equipment. 3) Any machine scrubbing or hand scraping to be done wet and using slow speed floor machine 4) Protect carpeted floors and Other not being refinistwf from and wax. 5) Completely rinse stripper from until no residue remains to avoid interaction with new wax. 6) Ventilation fans to be provided and used during entire stripping and waxing process. Fans must vent to the outside to prevent Odors from spreading to other areas of the building. 7) Apply seven even light coats of wax all VCT floors. First two as sealer, last five as top coats. 8) Allow each coat to dry at least 30 minutes or longer depending on humidity. 9) No wax stripper or residue is allowed to be disposed down any facility sinks or floor drains. 10) Remove strippertwax residue from building/grounds and dispose Of properly. 11) Apply no more than four coats Of wax per 24-hour period. 12) Allow final coat Of wax to cure at least 24 hours before replacing furniture,equipment etc. so items do get glued to uncured wax. 13) Replace furniture to original locations in in each room unless directed otherwise by building director. 14) Stripper to be buckeye brand "Ripsaw" or equivalent. 15) Wax to be buckeye clarion 25 or equivalent and be same brand as stripper.
