Description | **As of September 09, 2022, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will rebid but no definite date yet.** The City of Nixa is issuing a Request for Bid for the procurement of services to relocate the Salt Dome located at the Nixa Dog Park to Nixa Public Works. The City highly encourages electronic submissions via this online bidding system as it expedites the process and helps to alleviate errors. All bid content must be a in a sealed envelope. Bids must be delivered by the stated close date and time. NO EMAILED OR FAXED bids will be accepted. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Scope of Work for this project is to remove the existing Quonset building located at the Nixa Dog Park, 1137 S. Norton Rd., Nixa, MO, and rebuild the Quonset building at the Nixa Public Works building, located at 1111 W. Kathryn, Nixa, MO. The following specifications shall be adhered too for the project: o Excavate and pour footings 18" wide x 16" deep with two horizontal runs of rebar, 6" apart, one above the other, centered in the footing. o Tie #5 rebar vertically to the horizontal rebar, on 24" centers in the footing, continue the rebar above the top of the footing 40". o Form and pour ten-inch (10") thick walls with before mentioned #5 rebar on 24" centers and a six-inch (6") thick floor (smooth finish) with a six-inch (6") thick (broom finish) apron to specs stated below. o Contractor to provide all gravel necessary for the subgrade beneath the floor and apron. o Carefully disassemble, transport, and reassemble the Quonset building located at the Dog Park on South Norton Road to the new location at 1111 Kathryn Street. o Clean up the construction area at 1111 Kathryn and grade the area around and between the buildings for proper drainage away from the buildings. o Lay geotextile fabric between the buildings and cover with six inches (6") of 1 1/2 " limestone as a weed barrier. |
