Description | Reference Number 0000294180 Question Deadline 05/12/2023 at 5:00 PM ET Questions are submitted online Yes The JATA provides service maintenance and repairs in its maintenance facility located at 2350 E. High Street, Jackson, Michigan on all of its fixed route buses and demand response vehicles. These vehicles include Gillig transit buses ranging in length from 29' to 40', El Dorado cutaway buses, Ford Transit vans, Caravan mini-vans, and Ford Flex cars. The maintenance garage currently has four (4) in-ground, two (2) post Rotary vehicle lifts, and one (1) Omer drive-on lift, all of which are well beyond their useful life benchmark (ULB) and have become cost prohibitive to maintain. The objective of this project is to replace the four (4) in-ground, two (2) post bus lifts, and one (1) drive on lift for use in our alignment bay (see blueprint attached for specific locations of lifts - Appendix A). The four (4) in-ground, two (2) post lifts are Rotary lifts which were installed when the facility was built 30+ years ago. The drive on lift is an Omer lift which was installed at approximately the same time as the Rotary lifts were installed (Please see attached photos shown in Appendix B). The project work must be accomplished in a way which will allow our maintenance department to continue vehicle repair operations during demolition/construction. Successful completion of the project will see our maintenance department back to fully operational status with brand new vehicle lifts and all necessary equipment/accessories to operate said lifts.
