Description

The description of work below is generalized; Bidders shall refer to the construction documents for additional detail information. The proposed work includes modifications to aisle floor and seating at the rear of the auditorium. Related work includes selective removals; concrete slab-on-grade; interior finishes; electrical. Cash payments will not be accepted. By submission of the non-refundable payment, bidder will be registered as an official plan holder. Only official plan holders are eligible to bid on the project. Subcontractors, suppliers, equipment vendors, etc. will also be required to submit the non-refundable payment to receive the Electronic Download of the Project Manual and Plan Sheets (Contract Documents). All questions and/or requests for clarifications regarding the contract documents are to be directed to: Deb Bruce at Deb.Bruce@Oneonta.edu or James F. Williams at jwilliams@hkkarchitects.com. Telephone inquiries will not be considered. All questions must be received no later than close of business, Tuesday December 7, 2022, eight days prior to the bid date. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority and service-disabled veteran owned business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The University hereby establishes an overall goal of 30% for MWBE participation, 12% for Minority-Owned business Enterprises (MBE) participation, 18% for Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) participation and an overall goal of 6% for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business enterprises (SDVOB) participation.
