Description | It is the bidder's sole responsibility to insure that the bid is timely and physically received by the City Clerk's office prior to the deadline set forth in this notice. Receipt of a bid/proposal by the mail system or other City departments does not constitute receipt of a bid/proposal by the City Clerk's office. All bids must be submitted in an envelope sealed by the bidder or designated representative. All bids should be addressed to the City Manager, c/o City Clerk's Office, City Hall, 215 Church Avenue, P.O. Box 1130, Oshkosh, WI 54903-1130. On the outside of the envelope, the bidder should distinctly indicate the name and address of the bidder and in the lower left corner should clearly indicate the envelope contains a sealed bid for: "PLASTERING REPAIR AND RESTORATION- LAZY RIVER, POLLOCK COMMUNITY WATER PARK." Any bids not complying with these instructions will not be considered submitted to the City, and shall be returned to the bidder unopened and unread. Submission of bid documents by facsimile equipment or electronic mail (email) will not be accepted. This notice establishes a time by which sealed bids must be physically received by the City Clerk's office. No bids will be accepted after that deadline. Under no circumstances will bids be accepted and read when submitted at the place of bid opening even if presented before that deadline. The City is not responsible for bids submitted in any other way except those submitted in strict conformance with these instructions. A written request for the withdrawal of a bid or any part thereof may be granted if the request is received by the City prior to the specified time of opening. For further questions concerning this invitation for bid, contact the Purchasing Office, Room 302, 215 Church Avenue, City Hall, Oshkosh, WI 54901, purchasing@ci.oshkosh .wi.us or telephone (920) 236-5100. The lazy river has an outside perimeter of approximately 690 linear feet and an inside diameter of approximately 331 linear feet. There are approximately 220 linear feet of structural cracks (primarily on walls, some floor). There is efflorescence, etching and some spalling on the plaster finish. The awarded contractor will be expected to perform the following scope of work for the successful completion of this bid: - Strip plaster finish of lazy river down to shell, repair cracks, remove and replace inside depth marker tiles, remove texture on top 12" inside and 8" top of walls, grind efflorescence, (cup grind, prep and apply two coats texture and two coats stain/sealer) waterproof, (apply two coats of Aqua Blok and two coats Triple Flex to waterline) acid wash, neutralize and bond coat, apply new quartz plaster finish to basin and walls. - Waterproofing: pack and seal all returns and fixtures. - Control joints: white 2" X 2" tile and caulk (underwater magic). - Plaster: Sunstone Blue- Commercial IA - Plaster Detail: Steps (6) - Signature Matrix Gulf White Zero Entry Area - Plaster finish with 20" of walls (12" waterline and 8" top). Texture with no waterline (only depth marker tiles). - Contractor will provide any dumpsters required for this project. |
