Description

The scope of work for this project consists of renovating and providing ADA improvements at the Parker Theatre Dance Studio 103 on the first floor level for the Fine Arts department. The main features of the “Base Bid” work shall include, but are not limited to the following: Removal of existing items where shown on drawings comprised of partial raised dance floor system with metal riser from corridor, finish flooring material, metal door and frame system, gypsum and masonry backup wall system, plywood/gypsum ceiling with wood framing support, spline ceiling including all concealed support system which may include black iron, temporary relocation of fire alarm devices and thermostat with line system on walls to be removed and without disruption to these services, and miscellaneous wall hung items at removal areas which includes some audio visual equipment and electric devices. Providing and installing new floor leveling material, resilient sheet flooring and vinyl cove base over exterior grade plywood to create new ramp from existing corridor to dance studio, metal door with vision panel, door frame, series 9K best lockset and associated hardware, automatic door operator with ADA push plates, stainless steel handrail at new ramp, prefabricated wood and cable railing system along with red oak post and cap on top of existing dance floor new landing and ramp, exit sign, reinstalling relocated fire alarm devices, thermostat with line set, and telephone. Work shall also include plaster repairs at wall removal areas and preparation of existing and new wall surfaces at affected areas for new primer and paint. Contractor shall provide and maintain full access and egress in and out of building entry locations, and shall understand Parker Theater will be occupied during the Work. Therefore, Contractor to coordinate their work as necessary to minimize any disruptions to building and services.
