The deadline for questions is Monday, May 15, 2023 at 12:00 p.m Shea's Gas Station on Route 66 Resurfacing the Parking Area Intent: This request is intended to establish a quote with a qualified vendor to resurface the driveway and parking area of Shea's Gas Station, a Route 66 attraction. This project will be executed using funding from a State of Illinois Route 66 Grant (if awarded). Applicable grant procedures must be followed during the duration of the project. The Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau (SCVB) will assist with following grant guidelines. Project: Resurfacing the front area of the historic Shea's Gas Station in Springfield, Illinois located at 2075 N. Peoria Rd, Springfield, Illinois 62702 (see diagram). Specifications (Using IDOT Standard Specifications): Area approximately 7,000 square feet. Contractor responsible for measuring. Cold mill removal of existing asphalt w/ depth 2.5" or 3" per option selected Repair and compact remaining rock base materials New asphalt paving w/ depth 2.5" or 3" per option selected. Project details: Base Bid - 3" asphalt remove and repave Alternate - 2.5" asphalt remove and repave Notes: Fencing on east side will be removed by the owner prior to a mutually agreed start date. Millings from removal can be spread west and south parking areas in place of hauling away. Credit will be applied (add to bid). No concrete construction included. No pavement markings (striping) required. Lump sum price. Priority: The Springfield CVB will give additional consideration to a contractor submitting optional lump sum price using fiber reinforcement as outlined in attachment 1.0. Schedule: Must be completed no later than September 15, 2023 unless otherwise negotiated. Guarantee: Pricing must be valid for 30 days or more. All work must be guaranteed to be installed as specified and fully insured. All work is to be completed in a professional manner according to standard |
