2022-2023 Street Repair Contract

***The value and start date are estimates that have been provided by AWCK.*** The work will include the following items: Work consists of milling existing asphalt pavement, full depth patching of existing pavement, utility adjustments, installation of asphalt concrete surface course, and pavement markings. Consideration will be given only to bids of Contractors who submit evidence that they are licensed under An Act to Regulate the Practice of General Contracting, ratified by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina on March 10, 1925, and as subsequently amended, when such Act is applicable. Each Proposal shall be accompanied with a deposit of cash or CERTIFIED CHECK on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the Proposal, said check to be made payable to the City of Mebane. In lieu of the above cash or CERTIFIED CHECK, the bidder may execute a Bid Bond for the same amount. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. By order of the City Council, City of Mebane, North Carolina.
