Various Materials - Signs and Sign Posts Q & A deadline: Dec 05, 2022 11:00:00 AM EST Bid period is to be from January 3, 2023 through June 30, 2023. Contract shall be for a period of six months from date of acceptance. However contract may be renewed for one (1) additional six-month period provided both parties agree. SIGN BLANKS 1. Shall be aluminum anodized treated and ready for application of reflective sheeting or paint. 2. Shall be manufactured from alloy 6061-T or 5052-H-38 with a .080 gauge. 3. All corners shall be rounded with a 1 1/2" radius. 4. All sign blanks shall be deburred and all corners rounded and free from sharp edges. 5. Shall have 3/8" diameter mounting holes. 6. Any blanks not meeting specification or found to have burrs or sharp edges will be returned at vendors expense. 7. Signs are subject to testing for alloy content. SIGN POSTS 1. Shall be high carbon rail steel weighing two (2) pounds per foot. 2. Shall be pointed on one end for easy driving and shall have 3/8" diameter holes on 1" centers starting 1" from top of post. 3. Shall be painted green with weather resistant enamel. The Ouachita Parish Police Jury reserves the right to waive defects and informalities in proposals, to reject any or all proposals, to accept such proposal as it may deem to be in its best interest, and to award the contract by items, combination of items, or by lot.
