The greenhouse includes BL2P and BL3P containment zones with an accompanying BSL-3 headhouse. BL2P and BL3P Greenhouse Structure and Glazing, Shading, Greenhouse Lighting, Greenhouse Climate Control System. The Plant Sciences Building is a five story, 183,688 square foot of new construction planned for Centennial Campus targeting LEED Silver certification. The overall project scope of work includes sitework and infrastructure connections and improvements, deep foundations, core and shell with interior spaces to include seminar, office, lab, growth chambers and cold storage rooms, and greenhouse space with supporting electrical and mechanical utilities. The greenhouse includes BL2P and BL3P containment zones with an accompanying BSL-3 headhouse. The following details further describe the work: 1. Earthwork and grading to building foundation requirements with anticipation of approximately 25,000 cy export. 2. Site utility connections to campus chilled water, steam, power, telecommunications, domestic water, fire water, reclaim water, sanitary, and storm. 3. Foundation systems are a combination of aggregate pier deep foundations and spread footings. 4. Building structure is a steel frame with slab on deck. 5. Exterior envelope consisting of brick masonry, composite metal panels, terracotta panels, glazed aluminum curtain walls, exterior sun control devices, and fixed mechanical louvers. 6. Interior spaces including gathering and seminar, education, office, conference, break, and lab. 7. Mechanical spaces to support the general building plus additional greenhouse mechanical support space. 8. Rooftop greenhouse consisting of 11 separate zones. Each zone will have separate climate equipment and controls. The entirety of the greenhouse will be built to a BL2P containment requirement with the exception of one zone which will be built to a BL3P containment requirement. 9. The BL3P greenhouse will be connected to a BSL-3 headhouse space. 10. The greenhouse will have a separate control system from the overall building management system.
