Douglass Landscape and Irrigation Improvements Phase Two

Provide all labor, equipment and materials to remove and replace an existing irrigation system. The design shall provide a new 3-zone automatic irrigation system with programmable controller to water approximately 5,200 square feet of grass turf, including all appurtenances as follows: 1. Contractor to remove existing DI pipe irrigation system and appurtenances. 2. 2. Contractor to design new irrigation system to include confirmation of dynamic water pressure, confirmation of head-to-head overlapping coverage for uniform watering, new electric remote controller (20 station max), new electric valves, new PVC pipe and new matching sprinkler heads. 3. Contractor to provide and install 1,500 square feet of geotextile weed fabric and Franklin Red Screening. 4. All new valves to be placed in buried 18”x24” thermoplastic valve boxes with covers and extensions. 5. New main line pipe shall be ¾-inch Class 200 PVC pipe, or approved equal. 6. Wiring shall be direct burial and color coded with waterproof connections, installed in a 1-inch PVC conduit. 7. Contractor to level, reseed and aerate subject areas (approximately 5,200 square feet). 8. Contractor to demolish and legally dispose of two (2) Boxwood shrubs, four (4) Juniper Evergreen shrubs, one (1) 6’x8’ concrete slab, one (1) 2’x5’ concrete slab. 9. Contractor to demolish and legally dispose of two existing trees Mulberry trees and one existing Fan Tex Ash tree and replace with three (3) 15-gallon Arizona Ash Trees. 10. Contractor to provide and place twenty-nine (29) dwarf 5-gallon Indian Hawthorn shrubs in existing northerly 84’x6’ garden bed. 11. Contractor to provide and place four (4) Lantana shrubs in existing southerly 15’x6’ garden bed. 12. Existing Garden beds shall be leveled and improved with new permeable geotextile fabric and Franklin Red landscape screening. 13. Contractor to create separate zones for watering of new trees and shrubs with emitter outlets and poly-tubing. 14. Contractor to install new 18’ wide mortared-joint rock rip-rap desilting basins around two (2) existing 5’x3.5’drainage inlets.
