Description | Disclaimer: IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY Financial assistance for this activity is made possible by a grant from the: New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Division of Housing and Community Resources Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program Sheila Oliver, Lieutenant Governor State of New Jersey Sheila Oliver, Commissioner New Jersey Department of Community Affairs This project will include the demolition of the existing remaining components of the hydraulic pumping unit and the furnishing and installation of a new submersible pump system in the existing Delaware Avenue Pump Station. Minority and female-owned companies are urged to participate in this program. Each bid must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit, Consent of Surety and cash, certified check or bid bond, payable to the Borough of Penns Grove for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of bid, not to exceed $20,000.00, and be delivered to the Borough of Penns Grove by the before the hour named above. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1963, Chapter 150 (Prevailing Wage), P.L. 1975, Chapter 127 (Affirmative Action) and P.L. 1977, Chapter 33, requiring corporate bidders to submit the names and addresses of stockholders owning ten percent (10%) or more of their stock, or partnership owning a ten percent (10%) or greater interest in the partnership. Bidders are required to comply with the subcontractor identification requirements of Local Public Contract Law (40A:11-16). The contractor will be required to pay the appropriate prevailing wage rate for each classification of labor including appropriate fringe benefits in accordance with the statutes of the State of New Jersey. The higher of either State or Federal wages and fringe benefits for each classification will be obtained from the wage rate determinations applicable at the time of contract signing. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of Executive Order 11246 of September 24, 1965, and all of the rules, regulations and relevant orders of the Secretary of Labor. The Borough of Penns Grove is exempt from the payment of sales tax and use taxes in accordance with N.J.S.A. 54:32B-8 and N.J.S.A. 54:32B-9. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the Borough of Penns Grove, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract, in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The successful bidder will be required, upon final payment, to furnish a General Maintenance Bond acceptable to the Borough of Penns Grove, in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Documents. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive informality in the bidding if it is in the interest of the Borough of Penns Grove to do so |
