Description | Project Identification: Johnson City iDistrict Art Park Improvements at Jenison Park Project Location: 55 Willow St., Johnson City, NY 13790 Project Description: Improvements to the Jenison Park, including but not limited to plantings, a stage, masonry and bluestone paving, and other miscellaneous site amenities. This project is made possible with financial support provided through the New York State Upstate Revitalization Initiative and the Greater Binghamton Fund and bidders will be required to comply with all applicable state and federal requirements as well as provide information and documentation as needed to comply with grant requirements. Contract is subject to review and approval from the State funding agency. CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT: Bids will be received for the following Work: General Contract (all trades). MINORITY and WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES (MWBE) PARTICIPATION GOALS There is a 30% MWBE participation goal. The breakout is 15% WBE and 15% MBE. All qualified MWBEs are encouraged to submit proposals. SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSINESS (SDVOB) GOALS There is a 6% for SDVOB goal. EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY (EEO) Bid Security, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, is required to be submitted with the bid as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the contract if awarded, and that the bidder will furnish all required information to enter into contract within ten (10) days after receipt of notice of award. Bid Security shall consist of a bid bond or a certified check or a bank check drawn upon a legally incorporated bank or trust company and payable to the Municipality. The bid bond must be from a Surety company approved by the State. The form of any bid bond and the surety issuing it shall be subject to the approval of the Municipality. The Bid Security of the two lowest bidders will be returned upon the acceptance of Performance and Payment Bonds and the execution of the Contract by the lowest bidder. The Bid Security of all other bidders will be returned as soon as possible after the low bidder is determined. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) calendar days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. |
