This project proposes to replace various overhead sign structures to maintain their structural integrity on the following Federal Aid Eligible highways: 1. NY135 (Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway) in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County 2. Southern State Parkway in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County 3. NY24 (Hempstead Turnpike) in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County 4. NY106 in the Towns of Hempstead and Oyster Bay, Nassau County 5. Northern State Parkway in the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County 6. NY27 (Sunrise Highway) including North Service Road and South Service Road in the Towns of Babylon, Islip, and Brookhaven, Nassau and Suffolk Counties 7. Interstate 495 (Long Island Expressway) in the Towns of Islip and Brookhaven, Suffolk County. Project Status The current status of the project is In Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Summer 2023. Construction is expected to begin in Fall 2023. Construction is expected to be completed in Winter 2024/2025.
