2023 Street Repair Contract

For 2023 Street Repair Contract The work will include the following items: Work consists of milling existing asphalt pavement and installation of 1.5" asphalt concrete surface course. Consideration will be given only to bids of Contractors who submit evidence that they are licensed under "An Act to Regulate the Practice of General Contracting", ratified by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina on March 10, 1925, and as subsequently amended, when such Act is applicable. Each Proposal shall be accompanied with a deposit of cash or CERTIFIED CHECK on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the Proposal, said check to be made payable to the City of Mebane. In lieu of the above cash or CERTIFIED CHECK, the bidder may execute a Bid Bond for the same amount. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. By order of the Aldermen, Village of Alamance, North Carolina. Questions received less than 10 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only answers issued by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
