Description | Metropolis Parking Lot Renovations Bidding documents are available for download on this website: www.F-w.Com This project consists of construction of new driveways, modification of existing parking lot striping, and modification of existing parking lot lighting. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five percent (5%), of the bid amount. No bids may be with-drawn for a period of 30 days after opening of bids. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the work. A performance bond, separate labor and material payment bond, and insurance in a form acceptable to owner will be required of the successful bidder. The owner requires all contractors and vendors doing business with the owner not to discriminate against anyone on the basis of race, age, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ancestry, non job-related handicaps or national origin. Shawnee community college re- serves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, and to waive any and all informalities in the bidding. After receipt of bids and completion of the review process, Shawnee community college may award a contract to the bidder that, in its opinion, will provide a combination of the best services and reasonable cost. Successful bidders shall be required to observe the fair employment practices commission rules pertaining to equal employment opportunity, and comply with the Illinois prevailing wage act, 820 ilcs 130/1 et seq.., and use wage determination as determined by the Illinois department of labor, conciliation, and mediation division dated February 2, 2022. These wages will remain in effect until superseded by a new determination. |
