Description | This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Topeka, Kansas. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information. Calcium Thiosulfate to be used as a declorination agent during back-washing of filters. This will be used at the Water Treatment Plant, 3245 NW Waterworks Drive. The contract covers the time period of July 1, 2022-June 30, 2023. Q And A Open4/20/2022 6:31:00 PM Q And A Close5/16/2022 10:30:00 PM These specifications are for furnishing Calcium Thiosulfate in conformance with the requirements set forth herein and delivered to the Water Division in FOB shipments at Topeka, Kansas, Water Treatment Plant. Bids shall be for furnishing twelve (12) month supply of Calcium Thiosulfate (basis 30%) in 2,200-gallon truckloads, for the period July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. The estimated quantity is 100 tons for the twelve (12) month supply. The quantity listed is an estimated supply only and the City of Topeka Water Division reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity. The Calcium Thiosulfate shall contain not less than 25% CaS2O3 by weight. Maximum concentration, which will be acceptable, is 30%. The material shall contain no soluble or organic substances in quantities capable of a deleterious effect upon the health of those consuming water that has been properly treated with the Calcium Thiosulfate. The product shall conform to all American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standards. The product shall be National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) certified as a drinking water additive. The award shall be based on which responsive and responsible vendor supplies the product closest to each item description at the lowest price. The City has the final say as to which products come the closest to the items described. The City of Topeka reserves the right to award the bid to one or more vendors by line item. Bidders are responsible for providing sufficient information to evaluate all items including texture, density, and composition. The award will be made by line. The contract(s) awarded from this bid shall become effective on the date of signature by both parties and shall remain in effect for one (1) year. Prices quoted shall remain firm for the duration of the contract. |
