Description | The successful bidder will be required to obtain all necessary liability insurances to hold the City of Martinsville harmless and will be required to furnish all certificates of such insurance. All materials used and work done shall be subject to the inspection, test and approval of the Director of Public Works of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, or his duly authorized representatives. The successful bidder shall enter into a written contract within ten (10) days of the award of the contract and said contract shall embody all of the terms, conditions, and provisions of the notice to bidders, specifications and proposals. Vendor to furnish all material, labor and equipment to perform the conversion of the main building of the wastewater treatment plant. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to purchase any part of the whole of items bid upon, to waive any informalities, and to award this contract as determined to be the most advantageous to the City. The City reserves the right to terminate this contract with a 30-day written notice if service and/or parts become unsatisfactory. Response received after the date and closing will be considered non-responsive and will not be opened. Bids will not be accepted via fax machine or internet e-mail. Proposer to furnish labor, equipment, and supervision to replace the roof of the West Piedmont Business Development Center. Please see the attached drawing to show square footage and current layout. City is open to going back with the current style of roofing (rubberized flat) or any alternative roofing methods There are no as built plans but City believes the current deck consists of metal and then covered with asphalt & gravel. Before it was last covered with the current material there was a foam board that was installed. There are some structures on the roof we are ok removing. There is an older a/c unit that can be removed along with a satellite dish and some of the larger metal framing that held an old chiller. |
