THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS, NOR A PROPOSED SYNOPSIS OF A PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION UNDER FAR SUBPART 5.2 and no contract shall be awarded from this notice. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought or any follow up information requests. No solicitation is currently available. Responses to this Sources Sought will shape the acquisition strategy in developing a competitive requirement. The Columbia-Pacific Northwest (CPN) Regional Office of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation is conducting market research for a construction contract to furnish and install a log boom system. The work will be located within Steamboat Rock State Park, approximately 14 miles to the southwest of Grand Coulee, Washington, in Grant County. The principal components of work will be: A. Furnish and prepare logs to be used in a log boom. B. Furnish and install drilled rock and harpoon style anchors upon the shore to hold the log boom in place, as shown on the drawings. C. Furnish and install concrete blocks to be used as intermediate anchors at each location shown on the drawings. D. Furnish and install harpoon style earth anchors at each location shown on the drawings. E. Furnish and install steel buoys to meet log boom specifications at each location shown on the drawings. F. Furnish and install United States Coast Guard (USCG) approved lights on the buoys. G. Install the log boom system. 1. All installations to minimize ground disturbance. The estimated magnitude for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Sources are being sought for firms, of any size, with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a Small Business Size Standard of $39.5 million. Small businesses are highly encouraged to respond to this sources sought notice. Responses are requested with the following information: 1. Offerors name, address, DUNS/UEI number, points of contact with telephone numbers and e-mail addresses. 2. Business size/classification to include any designations as Small Business, HUBZone, Woman Owned Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, or 8(a). 3.
