The design-build contract has two phases, the design phase and the construction phase. A separate notice to proceed (NTP) shall be given for each phase. The work covered by this contract consists of, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and all miscellaneous requirements needed to perform all operations in conjunction with the effort to accomplish the Scope of Work below. All work shall be done in conformance with applicable sections of the attached Environmental Protection Specification, the project specifications, project drawings, Federal, State and MiamiDade Department of Environmental Management (DERM) codes and regulations, and OSHA requirements. The term, Contractor, shall be interpreted to mean the prime contractor and all its subcontractors. The term, Contracting Officer, (CO) shall mean the Contracting Officer and/or designated representatives. The Design/Build Contractor (DB) shall provide design and construction services in order to accomplish the project SOW as defined in this document. Design services shall include drawings, details and specifications. It will also be the selected DB contractor responsibility to ensure that the construction documents detail a product that meets all of the HARB’s desired intentions. This work will be performed in an occupied hangar. Design the building system as a compatible extension of the existing systems. The DB contractor will provide signed and sealed drawings for HARB review and approval. Provide cost estimated that support and validate the Estimated Construction Cost.
