Murray Street Parking Lot Proposal

Boulder County is seeking bids to construct a 14-space parking lot, specifications below, on a 9,963 square foot parcel located on the 300 block of Murray Street in Niwot. Murray St. Parking Lot Design Considerations: • Minimize obstruction of Murray St. resident’s view to the West. • 60-degree diagonal parking to minimize car headlights shining into homes. • Use solar powered LED lighting. • No tall lamp post lighting. Use short “Dark Sky” compliant lighting. • Provide concrete mounting pads for Xcel Energy transformer and two EV Chargers (NOTE: Electric Charging Stations as shown will be supplied and installed separately). • Allow for modular increases in lot size. • Allow for overflow parking during large events. • Permeable parking lot surface for water drainage/absorption. • Landscaping consistent with the rural character of Niwot. • Provide walking path for pedestrian safety
