Wet Well Cleaning at Stormwater Facilities

This one time work is to provide wet well cleaning at five (5) storm water lift stations throughout the City. All work and general conditions shall be performed in accordance with the current Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (the Green book). The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to complete, in its entirety and to the City's satisfaction, the tasks described below. Cleaning of the wet wells by the Contractor shall be conducted on a one-time basis. Work will be performed by the Contractor and/or Contractor team at the direction of the City at any and/or all of the City stormwater lift stations. Work shall include the use of hydraulic cleaning, mechanical equipment and/or vacuum trucks to remove sludge, sediment grit, dirt, grease, etc. from the interior walls and bottoms of the wet wells. This includes removal of all foreign objects or waste either manually or mechanically. The Contractor must be responsible for all removal, transport, and disposal of waste material from cleaning operations. The Contractor must always maintain flow through each wet well during the cleaning operation. The cost for this shall be included in the bid price. No dumping or stock piling of these materials will be allowed at any of the lift stations or offsite locations. Pre-Qualification for Bidders Not Required. License Type Required A.
