Description

Work under this project consists of roadway and pedestrian improvements along Virginia Beach Boulevard from Clarence Street to Newtown Road and intersection improvements at Newtown Road. The Project will include the extension of the dual left turn lanes on Virginia Beach Boulevard, converting the feeder road to a travel lane from Clarence Street to Newtown Road, upgrading the existing traffic signal at Newtown Road, installing 6’ concrete sidewalk on the north side of the roadway, and pedestrian improvements at the intersection of Virginia Beach boulevard and Newtown Road. There will also be sanitary sewer, stormwater management, pavement markings, and signage improvements.
