Description

Notice 5/01/23 Village of South Bloomfield Request for Qualifications for Professional Engineering and Surveying The Village of South Bloomfield intends to contract Profes- sional Engineering and Surveying services for needed im- provements to Walnut Street (US Route 23 South) between Northup Avenue (SR 316) and East North Street (SR 316). The improvements will include widening the street to accom- modate two travel lanes each north and southbound as well as a dual left turn lane, signal upgrades, storm sewer upgrades and streetscape considerations. The project will be funded by a combination of state and local sources and is slated for con- struction in FY 24. The Village would like to contract with a firm to provide the necessary civil engineering and surveying required to design said improvements. Firms interested in being considered for a contract to provide Professional Engineering and Surveying services should reply with your statement of qualifications no later than 5pm, Mon- day June 5, 2023. Statements received after this deadline will not be considered. Statements of qualifications should include information re- garding the firm's history, education and experience of own- ers and key technical personnel; the technical expertise of the firm's current staff; the firm's experience in performing the above requested services; availability of staff; the firm's equipment and facilities; references; and any previous work performed for The Village of South Bloomfield or cities of similar size in Ohio. No teaming is permited as part of your submital. Evaluation of firms for inclusion on the prequalified list and notification and evaluation of prequalified firms for specific projects will be as required by Ohio Revised Code 153.65-73. Upon receipt of the Statement of Qualifications, it is the in- tent of The Village of South Bloomfield to analyze each firm's qualifications for on-going consulting services noted above. Scope of work and fee for each selected project will be negoti- ated with a short list of the highest qualified firms.
