Description | 1. General: Fannin Elementary School Classroom Addition is designed for approximately 200 students with 8 classrooms for grades 4 and 5 at approximately 10,800 square feet. The addition will connect to the existing 1997 classroom addition and shall be separated by a 2-hour fire rated wall. 2. Site: Site design will have a new bus drop off and fire lane loop entering from Louise Drive. A parking lot to accommodate approximately 30 parking spaces will be located immediately adjacent to the gymnasium. An accessible path will be provided to the existing playground and a new hard-court play court will be incorporated. 3. Utilities: Utilities are present and will be extended to the addition. An existing sewer line crossing the proposed building footprint will be re-routed. 4. Architectural: Exterior wall assembly will be structural steel framing with cold-formed metal framing, insulation, and brick veneer. The volume of the connecting corridor separating the existing classroom wing from the new classroom addition will be clad with metal wall panels. Openings will be dark bronze anodized aluminum windows and storefront framing with tinted, insulated glazing and security glazing at designated entrance locations. The roof will be a TPO roof system over polyisocyanurate rigid insulation amd recovery board. Primary drainage will be gutters and downspouts. 5. Mechanical and Plumbing: HVAC system will be rooftop units (RTUs). Exhaust fans will serve the restrooms and mechanical spaces. Water closets will be floor mounted with manual flush valves. Urinal and lavatories will also have manual flush valves. 6. Electrical and Communications: New devices will connect to the existing services and light fixtures will be LED. Lighting controls will be automated throughout the building. Fire alarm will be audible / visual appliances throughout the building. Addressable manual pull stations will be provided. Electrified doors and security hardware will be utilized at entrances. Location - 1702 Wilson St. San Angelo, Texas 76901 The construction cost budget for this Project is approximately $5,250,000.00. Include stipulated sum of $150,000 for use upon Owner's instruction.
