Description

Due to space limitations, this expansion project will require HPC equipment to be housed in high density racks. The current cooling environment is not capable of cooling high density racks in the 30-60 kW/rack range. A refrigerant based cooling solution utilizing the rear doors of the rack as a means of removing the heat generated in a high density rack is required for capacity and occupying as little floor space as possible. A water based solution is not permissible due to the proximity of high power electrical distribution in the event of a water leak. Leaks in refrigerant based systems go directly to a gas and, therefore, would not cause a short-circuit, fire, and/or data center outage. Term contract 09/01/2021 to 08/31/2026
