Scope of Work of the Contract includes the following: Base Bid: 1. 241,340 Gallon Circular Glass-Fused-to-Steel Bolted Reactor Clarifier Tank. 2. 50,000 Gallon Glass-Fused-to-Steel Bolted Raw Water Storage Tank. 3. 75,000 Gallon Glass-Fused-to-Steel Bolted Settled Water Storage Tank. 4. 200,000 Gallon Glass-Fused-to-Steel Bolted Clearwell Water Storage Tank. 5. 3,000 Sq. ft. Water Treatment Plant Building. 6. 1,120 Sq. ft. Pump Station Building. 7. Furnish and Install Pall Corporation AP-4 Membrane Equipment 500 GPM Gross/401 GPM Net Filtrate. 8. Raw Water Clarifier Feed Triplex Booster Pump Skid. 9. AP4 Tank T-1 Settled Water Feed Triplex Booster Pump Skid. 10. High Service Potable Water Triplex Booster Pump Skid. 11. Transfer Pump Skid to Wastewater Treatment Plant. 12. Site Work including Site Grading, Drives and Parking Area. 13. Water Treatment Plant Piping, Valves, Fittings, Meters, Static Mixers, Reinforced Concrete Vaults, Manholes, 1 inch Water Sample Lines CPVC Chemical Piping and Insulated Aboveground Manual Sample Tap Assemblies. 14. Instrumentation and SCADA system. 19. 15,000 Gallon Welded Steel Hydropneumatic Pressure Tank. 20. Emergency Generator (600 kW, 277/480 Volts, 3 Phase). 21. 1,140 LF of 8 foot High Chain-Link Security Fence and Gate. Additive Alternate Bid: 1. 10 inches of Compacted Crushed Limestone Base (CLB) and 2 inches of Compacted Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete (HMAC) on part of the Driveways and Parking Area. Area shown on Sheet C-5, Site Grading and Erosion Control Plan. Substitutive Alternate Bid: 1. 50,000 Gallon Bolted Powder Coated Bolted Steel Raw Water Storage Tank. 2. 75,000 Gallon Powder Coated Bolted Steel Settled Water Storage Tank. 3. 200,000 Gallon Bolted Powder Coated Steel Clearwell Storage Tank. 4. Reinforced Concrete Reactor Clarifier Structure. 5. Painted Carbon Steel in lieu of the Stainless Steel Submerged Reactor Clarifier Equipment. Bids received after the closing time will be returned unopened. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a certified or cashier s check, acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount Bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Bonds on the forms provided, and provide the required insurance certificates within seven (7) days after the date Contract Documents are received by the Contractor. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except time of submitting a Bid. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Board s judgment will be most advantageous to the District and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project. The requirements of Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code, may apply to this Bid and/or Contract and the Contractor agrees that the Contract can be terminated if the Contractor knowingly or intentionally fails to comply with a requirement of that subchapter.
