District Attorney Hazardous Material Abatement

The scope of work includes the proper removal and disposal of asbestos-containing floor mastic that is associated with (and adhered to) areas of the existing carpeting, and on the underlying cement floor within the renovation areas of the District Attorney’s Department. The areas of identified mastic ACM are indicated on the table in the following paragraph “F” of this section. The mastic ACM was not observed throughout all the renovation areas. Considering the previously limited access to observe the carpet mastic, it is likely that mastic ACM is present that could not be accessed or observed. As such, the AAC will also be responsible for removal of non-ACM carpet throughout the renovation areas in order to identify any additional areas of mastic ACM to be removed as an additional item/quantity for this scope of work. Any additional quantities of ACM to be removed shall be confirmed by the Environmental Consultant and approved by the Owner prior to removal.
