| Description | Appendix A lists the requested quantities for edge switches. The District has standardized on Juniper devices and thus all manufacturer alternative proposals must meet fully compatible and interoperable with the District’s existing infrastructure. The minimum technical specifications are that of the Juniper EX4300, Virtual Chassis, with compatibility with current network stack including but not limited to: Juniper EX4300 class switches, LibreNMS, Graylog, TACACS, and MistAi and any other related components. In addition, alternatives to Juniper switch must include optics as the District has a substantial investment in optics programmed for Juniper. Vendors bidding alternative products must provide sufficient evidence proving their hardware meets and exceeds all aspects; it is not the District’s responsibility to research the hardware and make comparisons. |
