Description

The project will involve demolishing a portion of an existing greenway pedestrian trail in order to elevate a section to prevent nuisance flooding. Four partially buried 12” RCP culvert pipes will convey flow beneath the elevated trail and will include a low-height concrete retaining wall to be installed on the upstream side, to minimize wetland impacts. The project will also require clearing, grading, removal of unsuitable soils and replacement with foundation conditioning material, new asphalt trail section, and traffic control in accordance with NCDOT and County standards.
