Description

This requires dependable and efficient irrigation wells. One irrigation well (termed Well #4) developed an electrical problem in June 2020. To diagnosis the problem, the motor, pump and metal well casings (4-inch diameter) were removed. When these items were removed, a camera was lowered into the well hole to visualize the well screens to determine if the screens were in need of chemical treatment to remove deposits that have occurred on screens of other wells of similar age at CPRL. These deposits obstruct water moving through the screens and thus limit the amount of water volume that the well can produce. Unfortunately, the camera could not be lowered to the depth of screens, because of a break in the well housing approximately 334 feet below the well head’s surface. This service contract is to repair in the well housing, visualize the well screens and an installed a previously purchased pump, and motor. An option is being provided to chemically treat the well screens to remove deposit if warranted after visualization of the screens
