Description | Maine Township High School District 207 is accepting sealed bids for the 2023 Roofing Removal and Replacement at Maine South High School utilizing SBS modified bitumen roofing and fully adhered thermoplastic single-ply roofing. The project encompasses approximately 27,100 square feet. This is a Prevailing Wage project It is the responsibility of the Bidder/Contractor to attend and sign-in at the pre-bid conference. Failure to attend and sign-in at the pre-bid conference shall result in the rejection of any bids submitted by those non-attending Contractors. The company name registered at sign-in must be the same as that of the company submitting the quotations. This will be the only time that the Contractors will be escorted with full access to the project site. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid shall be submitted with the bid. Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds and Certificate of Insurance will be required from the successful Bidder. The Board of Education, Maine Township High School District 207 reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures, and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the School District. All Bidders must comply with Illinois Revised Statutes, 1981, Chapter 48, Section 39s-1 through 39s-12, requiring the payment of prevailing wage rates to all laborers, workmen and mechanics working on publicly funded projects. If during the time period of work, these rates change, the contractor shall be responsible for additional costs without any change to the contract amount.
