Description

Notice to Bidders: Bidders are invited to submit bids for the Project as described in this Document according to the Instructions to Bidders 14-07-07-03-0-004-017,14-07-07-03-0-005-020,14-07-07-03-5-003-015 Project Description: Project consists of various upgrades; this includes the Bus Garage parking lot and removing fuel storage underground that have reached the end of their useful life and replace above ground. At Cayuga Heights providing a new addition and relocating two classrooms and adding bathrooms. This project also includes various upgrades, this includes adding intruder doors with egress hardware and aluminum frame. Remove and repair gym floor. Provide duct work to redirect air flow. Provide new ACT ceiling and lights to kitchen. Provide new hot water tank and heater for room 161. Provide new PA/clock system campus wide. Replace classroom and hallways lighting with LEDS. Add access control to doors. Replace all grease traps. Full renovation of student toilet rooms includes remove and replace floor, wall ceramic tiles, ACT ceiling, toilet partitions, plumbing, and lighting. Providing AC to areas indicated. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). 2. Multiple Contract Project consisting of the following prime contracts: a. General Building Construction. b. Abatement and Demolition c. Concrete Construction d. Masonry Construction e. Metals Construction f. Roof Construction g. Aluminum and Windows h. Carpentry Construction i. Fire Suppression j. Plumbing Construction. k. Mechanical Construction. l. Electrical Construction. m. Site Construction A. Bid bond payable to the owner shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to re-advertise for new bids and to waive informalities and irregularities in connection with any bid. Bidders or subcontractors who return all Bidding and Contract Documents in good condition within thirty (30) days of receipt of bids and have remitted payment, will receive a full refund of the deposit. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. B. All potential bidders must self-perform a minimum of 20% of the work. The Contractor shall provide 20% construction and/or site supervision as proof of self-performance associated with the contract that they submit bids for. Self-performance cannot include general overhead (i.e. submittals, RFI and RFP paperwork, construction meetings, etc.)
