Description | Perform all work necessary to replace existing water main and appurtenances, provide 10 customer service reconnections, replace two existing fire hydrants, and decommission existing water main; site grading; surface restoration; and other incidental work to provide a complete, operational replacement water main as described in the Contract Documents. Bids will be accepted from only those Bidders who obtain Documents from the Engineer s Office. Bidders who submit a bid must be a Plan Holder of record at the Engineer s Office. The Village of Powhatan Point reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the bids received, and to accept any bid or combination of bids which is deemed most favorable to the Authority at the time and under the conditions stipulated. The Village of Powhatan Point further declare that they will award the contract for this project to the lowest and best bid, which may not necessarily be the lowest bid. No single factor will control the Village s decision to award, and the Village reserves the right to exercise its full discretion. Each Bidder must submit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions for Bidders. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each Bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with these projects will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, Contractors compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor s Executive order 84-0 shall be required. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. |
