Description | This project is to repair and renew approximately 15,800 square feet of the Operating Wing located on the second floor within Beenotz Army Community Hospital at Huntsville, AL. This action is needed to repair/renew the 20+ year old building systems and finishes in this area. The repair and renewal effort shall: follow the programmatic efforts of the attached Program for Design (PFD) for each space; demolish and remove all walls, ceilings, finishes, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems; replace all finishes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, mass notification, public address and CATV systems. This project does not require the use of transition space. However, Contractor is required to phase the project in such a way that allows three of the four operating rooms to be fully functional throughout the duration of the project. 4.1 General. Contractor shall provide a complete design and MRR Action to repair/renew the Operating Wing which includes but is not limited to: demolition and removal of all existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, medical gas, and communications systems as well as architectural components; furnishing and installing new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, medical gas and communications systems, force protection (as applicable) and architectural components. All systems shall be replaced with modern engineering systems as outlined below. Primary structure, support walls and floor are intended to remain intact unless replacement is deemed necessary. Contractor's design shall be based on the Government provided Program for Design (PFD) and closest corresponding room code listed in UFC 4-510-01. This acquisition is for an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) at diverse locations throughout the Contiguous United States (CONUS), including Alaska, Hawaii, the District of Columbia, Guam (U.S. Territory), and Puerto Rico (U.S. Territory) |
