Description

Project Description The successful company will provide design and details of the signage, create shop drawings, fabricate, and install municipal welcome/gateway signage based on the information provided within this RFP. The Town of Madison will own all designs and drawings developed by the successful company and one copy of all final, drawings in hard copy and an electronic copy will be submitted to the Town (where required). The Town of Madison reserves the right to adjust the sign configuration and/or design under this contract. Scope of Work The Town of Madison requires signs to be designed to assist with welcoming vehicular traffic as they enter the Town from Interstate Rte. 95, CT Rte. 79, CT Rte. 80 and US Rte. 1. The signage should benefit residents, visitors, business people, and those traveling through our community. The sign designs are encouraged to contribute to our community's unique sense of place and history. Sign Design and Drawings The successful company will provide design and details of the signage, create shop drawings and fabricate the municipal welcome/gateway signage based on the information provided within this RFP. The Town of Madison will own all designs and drawings developed by the successful company and one copy of all final drawings in hard copy and an electronic copy will be submitted to the Town (where required). Shop drawings are to include, but not be limited to components, materials, finishes, fonts and graphics, specifications, mounting and installation details. Sign Fabrication/Installation Construct & install ten (10) Welcome/Gateway Signs based on shop drawings approved by the Town. Signs should be constructed of durable, weather-resistant materials that can withstand outdoor elements and require minimal maintenance. Town prefers painted High-Density Urethane (HDU) sign with carved lettering. Vendor should provide options for an interchangeable sign panel located beneath primary sign. Vendor should provide options for solar powered lighting. Prices All prices quoted by the successful company for this RFP shall remain fixed for the duration of the contract. Unit pricing will be provided and shall include: Design costs and shop drawings Fabrication Installation All applicable labor Options for lighting Project Management The selected company will work with Town staff to complete the project. The company will communicate with staff on a regular basis, throughout all phases of the sign development.
