Description | The MDOT SHA hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority/ disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, sexual identity, genetic information or disability in consideration for an award. Minority/ Disadvantaged business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. On Federally assisted projects, the bidder's attention is called to the Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specifications (Executive Order 11246) which is a part of the contract proposal. All of these activities shall be done in accordance with Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, as amended. It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Disadvantaged and/or Minority Business Enterprises participate in all Federal Aid and State contracts, as applicable. Each contract will contain a specific participation goal. Counties: Baltimore and Harford Classification: F $5,000,001 to $10,000,000 Funding: Federal F.A.P. Number: AC-HSIPG-000B(650)E This open-ended, on-call, Contract consists of traffic barrier upgrades at various locations in Baltimore and Harford Counties. The total number of repair sites is indeterminate at time of bidding, but the following locations are anticipated location sites (in no particular order). 1. I-70 from I-695 to the Howard County Line 2. I-695 at US 40 Ramps (in Rosedale) 3. I-195 from MP 2.03 to 2.15 4. I-695 at MD 41 Ramps 5. I-695 at MD 372 (Exit 12C) - median barrier end treatment replacement 6. US 40 from Baltimore City Line to Chesaco Ave - median barrier end treatment replacements and extension of concrete median barrier. Work will also include inlet encasement of in-kind replacement Twin Type S for Twin Double Grate inlets. 7. US 40 from MD 700 to Ebenezer Road - median barrier end treatment replacements and extension of concrete median barrier 8. MD 147 from Baltimore County Line to south of Reckord Road - traffic barrier replacement and anchorages at Structure No. 0309000 (Little Gunpowder Falls) and along parking lots for Gunpowder Falls State Park The Administration reserves the right to remove and/or add locations to the above list of potential repair sites. This is a non-exclusive Contract, it does not include all work expected to be performed in the designated areas. Therefore, at times, other Contractors may be performing similar work that is not associated with this Contract. Pre-Bid Conference: A Pre-Bid Conference has not been scheduled for this Project Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon latest the electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least 5 percent (5%) of the total amount bid, unless otherwise stated in the IFB. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00, unless otherwise stated in the IFB.
